Ellis Crane Hire is a family based business that has provided a multitude of lifting solutions in and around Gloucestershire and the adjoining counties for over twenty years, and although changing to Ellis Crane Hire Ltd. in September of 2003 by name only, has maintained a high level of service and customer care to a wide variety of regular crane users and private sector customers.

Ellis Crane Hire Ltd. can provide crane hire & contract lifting in accordance with B.S.7121 & L.O.L.E.R regulations to suite your requirements. Lifting Operations & Lifting Equipment Regulations (L.O.L.E.R.) 1998 calls for all lifting operations to undergo a degree of planning and result in a safe system of work, not only ensuring the correct capacity cranes are used but also that the lifts are supervised a method statement & risk assessment are produced, a banksman / slinger is present & the necessary insurance cover is in place.

The hirer is responsible for providing the personnel and information as described; alternatively Ellis Crane Hire Ltd. will carry out all the necessary requirements under the banner of a ‘Contract Lift’. One of our technical representatives will be happy to visit site and offer advice with any queries or concerns you may have.

Ellis Crane Hire Ltd. runs a fleet of mobile telescopic cranes of various capacities. In addition to cranes a wide range of ancillary equipment is also available for hire including: man-baskets, bosuns chairs, pallet forks, block-grabs, roll over muck-skips, concrete skips, spreader beams, two way radios and a range of specialist lifting eyes for use with pre-cast concrete products.

Ellis Crane Hire Ltd. has a wide range of customers including many local construction, fabrication and maritime companies to national construction companies. Blue chip companies, city & district councils and constabularies.
