Originating as an in-house plant department for the John Doyle Group plc, Blythewood has evolved into a modern progressive supplier of plant, tools and accommodation hire supplying construction companies, builders and the DIY market. Under a programme of continuous expansion with the opening of new depots and investment in new tools and technology we look forward to continuing to serve our customers giving them the highest level of service.

Our most recent acquisitions include a fleet of Telehandlers ranging from 7mt to 12.5mt, modernising our Mini Excavator, Dumpers and Roller fleets. With health and safety at the forefront of our decision making we are modernising our small tool fleet to reflect the latest legislations regarding noise and hand-arm-vibration. This is in keeping with our company policy of providing the latest most up to date and safest equipment possible in order to protect our customers.

Since its formation in 1987, Blythewood has developed from a single depot in-house plant department for the John Doyle Group plc, to a multi-outlet national hirer. This expansion has been the result of a change of direction into the external market place. This expanding range of customers now includes utility companies, councils, major construction companies as well as small builders and DIY customers. This broad customer base has been a significant factor in the continual growth of equipment and services which Blythewood now provides. While the company has sustained a steady growth in turnover since its original formation, delivering the highest level of service to their customers remains the priority.
